Hello! I am TOKYO HALFIE – a half Japanese and half English foodie living in Tokyo who is passionate about travelling and discovering new restaurants. Having grown up in Tokyo, San Francisco and London, I realised that food is one of the most important parts of our culture.

However, it can be difficult for foreigners to navigate through Japan’s extensive variety of culinary experiences given the linguistic hurdles, and the same applies for Japanese tourists visiting overseas. By sharing information in both Japanese and in English, Halfie hopes to help as many people as possible break through these barriers.

I started my career in London working for an international financial institution in the city, before transferring to my hometown in the Japanese capital. Through my experience working in various roles, I discovered the importance of selecting a suitable restaurant for each type of occasion, from business dinners to personal catch-ups.
